It's Bigger than me Inclusive Obesity care
Over the past few years, the It’s Bigger Than Me movement has been on a mission to change how Americans perceive obesity. Sponsored by Novo Nordisk, this unbranded campaign is empowering people to share their personal stories and the positive behavioral changes they’ve made. The Inclusive Obesity Care Initiative (IOC) is working to improve the future of healthcare for those living with obesity by emphasizing the importance of inclusive, compassionate care and encouraging healthcare providers to collaborate for better overall health management.
Designed by our team for the obesity community, the IOC initiative’s ally marker is a symbol for healthcare providers—and all of us—to show support for inclusive obesity care. This groundbreaking symbol is the world’s first to signal safe, bias-free spaces and care that’s free from judgment for those living with obesity.
To bring the symbol to life, we gathered real people living with obesity and doctors to share their personal experiences, with the support and encouragement of Queen Latifah. Together, they helped create the symbol through art, shining a light on the importance of inclusive, empathetic care.
